Travel system

The short definition

A travel system is a pram frame sold with more than one top for it. Usually a flat bassinet, an upright seat, and sometimes a capsule that clicks onto the same frame.

What it actually means

It is a bundle. One set of wheels, two or three things that sit on it, one price.

The appeal is real: the flat bassinet suits the early months and the upright seat takes over later. Whether the bundle is worth the money depends on his car, his house and his legs, and that is a buying opinion, not a fact.

One thing it is not: a safety upgrade. A capsule clicking into a pram frame is a convenience feature. What makes a capsule a car seat is that it is built and approved to be one.

Where Dadda will hear it

On the shop floor, as the reason one box costs twice as much as the other.

Not to be confused with

A capsule being "pram compatible". That tells him the clips line up. It says nothing about protection in a crash.
